This year the Christmas Festival Parade theme is a “A Hawaiian Christmas.” The parade will take place at 1:30PM and the parade route starts at Pilgrim Road just north of Mequon Road, traveling north on Pilgrim Road to Fond du Lac Avenue to Main Street; west on Main Street to Park Avenue; north on Park Avenue to end at Firemen’s Park at Freistadt Road. We are excited to announce our Parade Grand Marshal is Darren Stamm, former owner of Robert’s Frozen Custard. Registration to be in the parade is open at the Chamber website and parade route closures are done approximately one hour before the parade start time at the discretion of the Germantown Police Department.
“The Christmas Festival Parade has been brought to the Germantown community since 1981 and this year we wanted to manifest some unseasonably warm weather through our theme. Who knows what Wisconsin weather will bring mid-November, but we hope to spice it up with Hawaiian vibes. We look forward to what our parade entries bring to the community and with the excitement of the baseball season, we are happy to welcome the whole crew of Bernie Brewer™, Milwaukee Brewers Famous Racing Sausages® and Barrelman to the parade and to the festivities of Christmas in the Park,” said Joletta Kerpan, the Executive Director at the Germantown Chamber.
After the parade all are invited to Firemen’s Park for Christmas in the Park 2:00-4:45PM that includes Santa, food, fun, music, raffles and activities for the whole family. Candy Land Adventure will be in full swing again this year with the maps of the park and don’t miss making time to visit all the Candy Stops to find out what great businesses and organizations are part of the Germantown community. Christmas in the Park will conclude with the Tree Lighting with Santa at the Official Firemen’s Park Christmas Tree at approximately 4:45PM. Candy Land Adventure booth registration is open to Chamber businesses or organizations at the Chamber website.
